Bob Joyce is Senior Counsel at Dalton & Finegold. He joined the firm following his tenure as a partner at Tamkin & Hochberg, LLP, where he practiced from 1999 onward.

Bob is a proud graduate of Boston College High School and Boston College and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. He was admitted to the Massachusetts and Maine bars in 1995, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1996, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1998.

A longtime resident of Newton, Massachusetts, Bob has been deeply involved in youth sports and community service. He is the former President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Massachusetts Hockey, Inc., the governing body for youth hockey in the state, serving over 50,000 players, coaches, and officials.  He currently serves on Massachusetts Hockey, Inc.’s Executive Board as legal counsel.

Bob also serves on the Executive Board of USA Hockey, Inc., the national governing body for ice hockey in the United States, where he is a member of the legal council.

His local contributions include serving as President of Newton Youth Hockey and as a member and advisor to the Board of Directors of Newton West Little League. Bob has coached youth hockey and baseball for many years. Although his children went on to play at the collegiate level, he continues to coach with the East Coast Jumbos, a nonprofit special hockey program that provides athletes with autism and other developmental disabilities a positive athletic and social experience through ice hockey.  Previously, Bob coached with the Boston Junior Eagles, leading teams to four Massachusetts Tier I State Championships and a USA Hockey National Championship in 2019.

Bob practices in the areas of labor and employment law and real estate, representing clients in the acquisition, financing, and sale of residential and commercial real estate.
